Printing Has Arrived!

Hello Havenlanders,

The printer delivered 66 boxes yesterday! It was a really hot day here in the UK and not the best one for moving heavy boxes about... but I am part-gloomium, and powered through.

So, here are some photos of the items. I'm REALLY happy with how it's all turned out. Quality is fabulous... (later photos were taken in room with blind down as it was WAAAY too bright, but pages are nice and white :))

Hello awesome backers! Today we have an update on...

Shipping Addresses

Please finalise your shipping addresses in BackerKit if you haven't already! - I just emailed a reminder. I will lockdown shipping addresses on Friday 29th June 2018 (next Friday).

If you've lost your BackerKit email survey link, let me know and I can resend it for you.

Progress

The books, folded posters, GM screens and OGL cards will all be with me towards the end of next week. Fingers crossed.

The leather covers (for those of you that ordered one) are currently in this country and departed Heathrow on their way to the customs clearing in Coventry.

This is where there is usually a slight delay in proceedings, but I will start shipping 'non-leather cover reward packages' out while they are waiting to be cleared if there is a delay.

On the eve before shipping day 1, I will issue all the digital rewards to all backers!

So, with a good sail and a fair wind my plan is to start shipping packages towards the end of w/c 2nd July, and start of w/c 9th July.

I'm really looking forward to getting these out to you, and so proud of the hard work by all the team that helped bring this together. Thanks all for your support and not much longer to wait... and very much ahead of the original October shipping date :) Woot!

p.s. The original printing of The Midderlands (book 1) is down to 1 physical copy remaining of the original print run of 500! So, I just ordered another 500 copies, so if you enjoy it, please tell all your friends, friend's friends, fiends, partners, parents and other family members, their golf partners, your chiropractor, your pet iguana - Lucifer, and not forgetting Rodbert Gammons - the bloke at the end of the road with the overgrown garden and wife who mysteriously went missing during the Great Storm of 1586 and a half.

Print Proofs Have Arrived

Super-quick update, Midderlanders!

The print proofs arrived today, and other than a couple of tweaks everything is good to go :). Note that the map/mood art is shown on A3, but will be A2 in the final product.

I have also upgraded the GM screens and die-drop to a better 400gsm card stock for the final product. It costs a little more but will be a better product for it.

And one final note, is that the number of copies from the original print run for the first The Midderlands book is now down to single figures!! That means we have almost 500 hard copies of the first book out in the wild! That's staggering and humbling. Thanks to all of you.

Don't worry, the hard copies of the first book needed to fulfill this KS are reserved :)

Limited hard copies will be available at UK Games Expo (UK) via Lamentations of the Flame Princess and Squarehex, and NTRPG (USA) via Black Blade Publishing.

Survey Lockdowns, Last Chance for Add-ons, and Credit Card Charges

Last call to remind you that I will be locking down surveys this coming Tuesday morning (15th May) at 10am (GMT) for those of you that have answered the survey.

Quick Project Status

I've been making proofreading changes and finishing the indexing this week, and once the surveys are locked down, I will be plugging in a few pieces of filler art, and getting the final files prepped and off to the printer at the middle/end of next week! :) Woo hoo!

As a slight bonus, I had 20+ pages of extra content after layout, so I have moved all the rivers and lakes/lochs text and a few pieces of art to a separate publication called The Midderlands - Rivers & Lakes. This will be a free PDF for all backers. I will also create files for a print-on-demand version if anybody wants to buy that later.

GM Screen

I think I mentioned this in the last update, but the GM Screen is finalised and will contain much of The Midderlands-specific tables/information (like Gloom-touched Deformities, etc) as opposed to specific S&W rule information.

Art Book Competition & Art Licensing

I've got all the data for the raffle list now, so I just need to draw some final filler illustrations and then I'll announce the winning backer! Note that not all pages contain art - some are blank.

I can also then attend to the creation of the art pack to license out to you Leechfield Lord backers.

So, things are progressing nicely and I'm really happy so far. Onward to victory!
